लडकियाँ प्राचीनकाल से भारत में बहुत प्रकार के अपराधों से पीड़ित हैं। सबसे बड़ा अपराध कन्या भ्रूण हत्या है जिसमें अल्ट्रासाउंड के माध्यम से लिंग परीक्षण के बाद लडकियों को माँ के गर्भ में ही मार दिया जाता है। बेटी बचाओ अभियान को सरकार द्वारा कन्या भ्रूण हत्या के साथ-साथ बालिकाओं के विरुद्ध अन्य अपराधों को समाप्त करने के लिए शुरू किया गया है।
भारतीय समाज में लडकियों की स्थिति बहुत समय से विवाद का विषय बनी हुई है। आमतौर पर प्राचीन समय से ही देखा जाता है कि लडकियों को खाना बनाने और गुड़ियों के साथ खेलने में शामिल होने की मान्यता होती है जबकि लडके शिक्षा और अन्य शारीरिक गतिविधियों में शामिल होते हैं। ऐसी पुरानी मान्यताओं की वजह से लोग महिलाओं के खिलाफ हिंसा करने को आतुर हो जाते हैं। इसके परिणाम स्वरूप समाज में बालिकाओं की संख्या लगातार कम होती जा रही है।

कन्या भ्रूण हत्या का कन्या शिशु अनुपात कमी पर प्रभाव : कन्या भ्रूण हत्या अस्पतालों में लिंग परीक्षण के बाद गर्भपात के माध्यम से किया जाने वाला एक बहुत ही भयानक अपराध है। यह भयानक कार्य भारत में लडकियों की अपेक्षा लडकों की अधिक चाह की वजह से उत्पन्न हुआ है। इस समस्या ने भारत में बहुत हद तक कन्या शिशु लिंग अनुपात में कमी की है।
यह समस्या देश में अल्ट्रासाउंड तकनीकी की वजह से ही संभव हो पाया है। इस समस्या ने समाज में भयानक दानव का रूप ले लिया है। भारत में महिला लिंग अनुपात में भारी कमी 1991 की राष्ट्रिय जनगणना के बाद देखी गई थी।
बाद में 2001 की राष्ट्रिय जनगणना के बाद इसे समाज की एक बिगडती हुई समस्या के रूप में घोषित किया गया था। महिलाओं की आबादी में 2011 तक कमी जारी रही थी। बाद में कन्या शिशु के अनुपात को नियंत्रित करने के लिए सरकार द्वारा इस प्रथा पर सख्ती से प्रतिबंध लगाया गया था।
सन् 2001 में मध्य प्रदेश में लडकियों/लडकों का अनुपात 932/1000 था और 2011 में यह अनुपात 912/1000 तक कम हो गया था। इसका अर्थ यह है कि यह समस्या आज तक जारी है और अगर इसी तरह भ्रूण हत्या होती रही तो आने वाले 2021 तक यह समस्या 900/1000 तक कम हो जाएगी।
बेटी बचाओ बेटी पढाओ जागरूकता अभियान : बेटी बचाओ बेटी पढाओ एक ऐसी योजना है जिसका अर्थ होता है कन्या शिशु को बचाओ और इन्हें शिक्षित करो। इस योजना को भारतीय सरकार के द्वारा 22 जनवरी, 2015 को कन्या शिशु के लिए जागरूकता का निर्माण करने के लिए और महिला कल्याण में सुधार करने के लिए शुरू किया गया था।
इस अभियान को कुछ गतिविधियों जैसे – बड़ी रेलियों, दीवार लेखन, टीवी विज्ञापनों, होर्डिंग, लघु एनिमेशन, वीडियो फिल्मों, निबंध लेखन, वाद-विवाद आदि को आयोजित करके लोगों में फैलाया गया था। इस अभियान को बहुत से सरकारी और गैर सरकारी संस्थानों द्वारा समर्थित किया गया है।
बेटी बचाओ बेटी पढाओ योजना देश की बेटियों की आने वाली जिंदगी को सुधारने वाली मुहीम और हमारे देश की भविष्य लिखने वाली अहम कलम है जो आने वाली पीढ़ियों के लिए एक बहुत ही सुरक्षित वातावरण लाएंगी।
इस अभियान को समाज के हर वर्ग के लोगों ने बहुत ही प्रोत्साहित किया है। हमारे समाज में ऐसे बहुत से घर या परिवार हैं जहाँ पर लडकियों को बराबर नहीं समझा जाता है, लडके-लडकियों में भेदभाव किया जाता है। लडकियों को परिवार में वह दर्जा नहीं मिलता है जिसकी वे हकदार होती हैं।
लडकियों को अपने ही परिवार में अपने पक्ष को रखने का अधिकार भी नहीं दिया जाता है। लडकियों को वस्तु की तरह समझा जाता है जिन्हें स्नेह भावना, प्यार और ममता बस एक सपने के समान लगता है। इन सभी कुरीतियों को खत्म करने और समाज के मनोभाव को सुधारने के लिए ही बेटी बचाओ बेटी पढाओ अभियान को चलाया गया है।
बेटी बचाओ बेटी पढाओ अभियान के प्रभावशाली कदम : सरकार द्वारा लडकियों को बचाने और शिक्षित करने के लिए बहुत से कदम उठाए गये हैं। इस विषय में सबसे बड़ी पहल बेटी बचाओ बेटी पढाओ है जिसे बहुत ही सक्रिय रूप से सरकार, एनजीओ, कॉर्पोरेट समूहों और मानव अधिकार कार्यकर्ताओं और गैर सरकारी संगठनों ने आगे बढ़ाया है।
इसी दिशा में आगे कदम बढ़ाते हुए सरकार ने सुकन्या समृद्धि योजना की शुरूआत की है जिसके तहत लड़कियों की पढाई और शादी के लिए सरकार पैसे मुहैया कराएगी। सन् 1961 से कन्या भ्रूण हत्या एक गैर कानूनी अपराध है और लिंग परीक्षण के बाद गर्भपात कराना प्रतिबंधित कर दिया गया है।
इन कदमों को समाज के लोगों को यह बताने के लिए लिया गया है कि लडकियाँ समाज में अपराध नहीं होती है अपितु भगवान का दिया हुआ एक बहुत ही खुबसुरत तोहफा होती हैं। कन्याओं को बचाने और उनके सम्मान को बनाने के लिए शिक्षा सबसे बड़ी क्रांति है। लडकी को सभी क्षेत्र में समान अवसर देने चाहिए।
सभी सार्वजनिक स्थानों पर लडकियों के लिए रक्षा और सुरक्षा आयोजित करनी चाहिए। विभिन्न सामाजिक संगठनो ने महिला स्कूलों में शौचालय के निर्माण से अभियान में मदद की है। बालिकाओं और महिलाओं के विरुद्ध अपराध भारत में विकास के रास्ते में बहुत बड़ी बाधा है।
बेटी बचाओ बेटी पढाओ अभियान की आवश्यकता : बेटी किसी भी क्षेत्र में लडकों की तुलना में कम सक्षम नहीं होती है और लडकियाँ लडकों की अपेक्षा अधिक आज्ञाकारी, कम हिंसक और अभिमानी साबित होती हैं। लडकियाँ अपने माता-पिता की और उनके कार्यों की अधिक परवाह करने वाली होती हैं। एक महिला अपने जीवन में माता, पत्नी, बेटी, बहन की भूमिका निभाती है।
प्रत्येक मनुष्य को यह सोचना चाहिए कि उसकी पत्नी किसी और आदमी की बेटी है और भविष्य में उसकी बेटी किसी और की पत्नी होगी। इसीलिए हर किसी को महिला के प्रत्येक रूप का सम्मान करना चाहिए। एक लडकी अपनी जिम्मेदारियों के साथ-साथ अपनी पेशेवर जिम्मेदारियों को भी बहुत ही वफादारी से निभाती है जो लडकियों को लडकों से अधिक विशेष बनाती है। लडकियाँ मानव जाति के अस्तित्व का परम कारण होती हैं।
बेटी बचाओ बेटी पढाओ का उद्देश्य : इस मिशन का मूल उद्देश्य समाज में पनपते लिंग असंतुलन को नियंत्रित करना है। हमारे समाज में कन्या भ्रूण हत्या बढती ही जा रही है जिसकी वजह से हमारे देश का भविष्य एक चिंताजनक विषय बन चुका है। इस अभियान के द्वारा कन्या भ्रूण हत्या के विरुद्ध आवाज उठाई गयी है।

हम अपनी बेटियों को पढ़-लिखकर अपने सपनों को हासिल करने का मौका दे सकते हैं जो भविष्य में कन्या भ्रूण हत्या और दहेज प्रथा को ना कहने की हिम्मत देगा। बेटी बचाओ बेटी पढाओ अभियान हमारे देश के प्रधानमंत्री द्वारा चलाया गया एक मुख्य अभियान है। भारत का यह सपना है कि लडकियों को उनका अधिकार मिलना चाहिए और एक स्वस्थ समाज का निर्माण करना चाहिए।

Beti Bachao Abhiyan has been launched by the government to end female feticide as well as other crimes against girls.
The condition of girls in Indian society has been the subject of controversy for a long time. It is generally seen since ancient times that girls are recognized for their involvement in cooking and playing with dolls while boys are involved in education and other physical activities. Such old beliefs make people eager to commit violence against women. As a result, the number of girls in the society is continuously decreasing.
Effect of female feticide on female infant ratio reduction:- Female feticide is a very horrific crime committed through abortion after gender testing in hospitals. This terrible act has arisen due to the greater desire of boys in India than girls. This problem has reduced the female infant sex ratio to a great extent in India.
This problem has become possible due to ultrasound technology in the country. This problem has taken the form of a terrible demon in society. A drastic reduction in the female sex ratio in India was observed after the 1991 National Census.
Later, after the 2001 National Census, it was declared as a worsening problem of the society. The female population continued to decline until 2011. Later this practice was strictly banned by the government to control the ratio of female infants.
